Nitrous Anti Spy: FAQ
Q. How do I know if my computer is being protected from hackers?
A. When Nitrous Anti Spy's Firewall is running, your ports are
being protected.
Q. How do I activate the firewall?
A. From the main screen, select File, Port Monitor. Upon the new
dialog that loads, hit Port Monitor. A new dialog loads, allowing
the user to customize the ports to watch. Hit the start button
to begin monitoring your computers Internet activity.
Q. How do I update my software to the most recent version?
A. From the main screen, hit File, Update. Upon the new dialog
that loads, hit Search. Nitrous Anti Spy will search the website
for available updates and alert the user if they are found.
Q. A Trojan has been found on my machine. How do I disinfect
the Trojan?
A. Nitrous Anti Spy is unable to disinfect, because many Trojans
do not replicate themselves into each file on your computer. Generally,
if you have an infected file, the entire file is a Trojan, not
a specific section that we can simply "disinfect." Nitrous
Anti Spy provides the option to delete these files, but doing
so can cause potential harm to your system if the file is falsely
accused of being infected.
Nitrous Anti Spy has the ability to check your system files to
see if the Trojan loads on Windows boot. If the Trojan is located,
Nitrous Anti Spy can clean the files for you.
